Goal setting is fundamental to the financial planning process. Goals focus our efforts to achieve important outcomes that enhance our life. Having done this many times, I have found to develop successful goals one must “know thyself” both weaknesses and strengths. This is not only to create goals to overcome failings but to develop goals that have a reasonable chance of success.
