College Can Be Expensive
College can be expensive:
o An in-state public college for 2014-15 academic year averaged $23,410
o A moderately-priced private
school was $46,242
There are many
expenses incurred while in college that create your total cost:
o Tuition – how much your classes cost
o Fees – charged for your usage of university sources – libraries, gym, computer labs, athletic events, etc
o Housing and meals – whether you live on-campus or off you’ll need to spend money on housing if not living at home – as well as meals
o Books and school supplies - only take classes if you can afford the assigned books, resources, and supplies
o Personal expenses – clothing, personal items, entertainment, etc
o Transportation expenses – bus
fees, car payment, car maintenance, and parking sticker
